Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Forestry Administrator to support daily operations, ensure accurate documentation of timber sales, and maintain compliance with forestry contracts. This role is essential for managing data integrity, office workflows, and administrative tasks in a fast-paced, field-adjacent environment.
Key Responsibilities
Data Entry, Compliance, and Communication:
Accurately record, verify, and input timber sale scale tickets into tracking systems.
Reconcile load sheets, logs, and spreadsheets for auditing and contract compliance.
Maintain secure electronic and physical documentation for timber sales, contracts, and reports.
Verify ticket data aligns with contract terms.
Communicate and resolve data discrepancies promptly.
Record and review time sheets for monthly invoice accuracy.
Ensure adherence to timber sale standards and regulatory requirements.
Administrative and Office Support:
Manage office communications including phone and in-person inquiries.
Track and order office supplies.
Provide ad hoc support as needed.
Organize files and maintain office protocols.
Perform light housekeeping during downtime.
Assist staff when needed.
Qualifications
Essential:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Access Database (preferred).
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and communication abilities.
Proficient in data entry and learning new systems and technology.
Can work independently with minimal handholding.
Must be able to communicate discrepancies or potential concerns as they arise.
Is dependable, trustworthy, and ready to grow with us.
Bonus Points:
Experience in land or forestry.
Proficient in Map reading.
Working Conditions
Schedule: Standard hours (8:00 AM – 4:00 or 5:00 PM) depending on lunch taken.
Environment: Primarily office-based; occasional errands in town as well as adjacent counties.
Dress: Business casual.
Atmosphere: This role is usually calm but occasionally demands quick turnarounds and working well under pressure.
